Nihonbashi, Ministry of Crab among Asia's 50 Best Restaurants

Two Sri Lankan restaurants have been ranked in the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list during the awards ceremony held in Macau yesterday (27).

The awards, dubbed as the "Oscars of the Asian gastronomic world", ranked Ministry of Crab and Nihonbashi at 25th and 45th places respectively.

Japanese restaurant Nihonbashi the first restaurant of Chef Darshana Munidasa while the legendary Ministry of Crab, in partnership with his friends, Sri Lankan cricket legends Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene was opened later. Both restaurants are widely acclaimed and has diners pouring in from throughout the world.

Keeping his winning streak since 2014, Gaggan Anand's Bangkok restaurant Gaggan took the top prize again for the fourth consecutive year.
