Having taken into consideration the points presented to court by the defendants’ lawyers, the magistrate ordered that they be released on two personal bails of Rs. 200,000 each and a cash bail of Rs. 5,000 each.
Seven suspects were previously arrested in connection with the incident while another three suspects had surrendered to the court on June 29.
After the suspects had fulfilled their bail conditions, they were ordered to be released. The suspects were all residents of Ambalkulam.
The leopard was killed on June 21, and the magistrate ordered the suspects to appear in court again on July 26.
