A special BOI centre in Hambantota Featured

A dedicated center was opened at the Hambantota Port premises yesterday (23) to provide information on various services and initiatives that the Board of Investment (BOI) provides for investors.

This is a joint venture project of the Hambantota International Port and the BOI.

The main trading partner of the Hambantota Port, CM Port, has collaboratively ensured facilities for the initiative with the Sri Lanka Port Authority. The center will be helpful to achieve World Bank's targets, expanding facilities for business in Sri Lanka.

China's Merchant Port Holdings, one of the leading companies in investment and operations in China, has invested in many countries including China and Hong Kong. Currently, China's Merchant Port Holdings operates at 34 ports in 8 countries in 5 continents.

Minister Malik Samarawickrema, Chinese Ambassador in Sri Lanka Yang Zuo Yuan, Deputy Minister Nalin Bandara, and local and foreign businessmen were also present on this occasion.
