Including legal education in school curriculum, impractical - CTU Featured

The Ceylon Teachers Union says it is impractical to include legal education in the school curriculum.

According to CTU secretary Joseph Stalin, that is so because the Education Ministry does not accept law and archaeology degrees when granting teacher postings.

He notes that the permission of the Education Commission is required to make inclusions to the school curriculum.

First of all, law graduates should be given recognition in the education field, says Stalin.

The cabinet yesterday (07) gave approval to include legal education in the school curriculum.
