Maithri-Mahinda should unite to revive economy – SB Featured

Finding solutions to the economic crisis, including the devaluation of the Sri Lankan Rupee, is possible only through a union between president Maithripala Sirisena and his predecessor Mahinda Rajapaksa, says MP S.B. Dissanayake.

Dissanayake has told Neth News that the present economic policies were not at all good and that the business community had no confidence to invest in the country.

He blamed the conduct of the government for a collapse of the export economy.

Vasu to meet president

Meanwhile, the joint opposition says its MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara is to meet the president soon to discuss matters pertaining to national security.

JO activists hinted about this meeting at a meeting of their party leaders at the official residence of Rajapaksa yesterday (02).
