The Prime Minister said this at a special discussion held to review the progress of the projects commenced by the good governance regime.
The good governance regime has commenced the Gamperaliya, Enterprise Sri Lanka, Grama Shakthi and Gam Udawa and several other development programmes and the Prime Minister said that at a stage when the government has allocated around Rs. 80 billion for rural road development and infrastructure development, all ministers and MPs should work competitively.
Wickremesinghe noted that the government has reached the stage of development throughout the country and now it is time for the ministers and MPs to show their colours.
Taking into consideration the progressive work done by these Ministers and MPs, the Prime Minister said that he hopes to announce the next Prime Ministerial candidate to the nation based on their performance.
