(Mirror) - Reports say that there is no room for the SLC to hold a behavioural inquiry on cricketer Lasith Malinga.
Malinga splashed headlines after having an unfriendly exchange of words with journalists after a meeting at the SLC premises on March 03.
The reason as to why there is no room for an inquiry is because that Malinga’s contract with SLC was reportedly over at the time the incident took place.
The contract between SLC and the players formally ended on Feb. 28.
However, the new agreement was signed only on March 04.
Nevertheless, media reported that the executive committee of SLC has directed the body’s CEO - Mr. Ajit Jayasekara, to conduct an Inquiry into incident.
