Mirror - Mr. Premalal Silva today (05) filed a petition in the Colombo High Court, requesting bail for his son - Parliamentarian Duminda Silva.
Mr. Duminda Silva, who is the main suspect in the assassination of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra and four others, was taken in to remand custody yesterday.
The petition cites the OIC of the 3rd special inquiry division of the CID and the Attorney General as respondents.
The petition further cites that Duminda Silva, who was greviously injured in the shooting incident, was taken to Singapore for treatment and had a portion of his skull removed.
It adds that the MP Silva is currently receiving treatment in a private hospital.
Noting that MP Silva is not in a condition to influence any party including witnesses of the case, the petition requests the court to grant him bail.
